We are delighted to announce that the Sperrins and Killeter Walking Festival is back on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October. Its time to get outside and enjoy the natural beauty of the Sperrins regions with a range of walks for all abilities.
About
On Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October, walkers of all ages and abilities have the chance to get outside and explore the beauty, history and heritage of the Sperrins and Killeter regions.
Walks are available at a variety of levels including easy strolls (perfect for families and budding nature photographers), moderate treks and challenging hill walks across some of the country's most dazzling landscapes.
Sperrins
Enjoy some of the finest walking and rambling, set against some of Ireland’s most spectacular and stunning scenery.
Located in the picturesque village of Plumbridge, standing on the banks of the Glenelly River. Along the way and after the walks enjoy some of the best home grown hospitality.
Killeter
Discover the natural beauty of Killeter. Bound by the gentle slopes of the Sperrin Mountains and the heights of the Bluestacks in Co. Donegal, this ancient and scenic landscape hides a wealth of unique heritage. Experienced and knowledgeable local guides will also enlighten visiting walkers on the ecology, history and folklore of this wild and remote part of West Tyrone.
