Challenging 'The International Reach of A Killeter Camino'

An exciting & unusual weekend of cross country hiking in one of Northern Ireland’s most remote and scenic landscapes.

On previous weekends Red Hare, Sparrow hawks, Peregrine Falcons, the Irish Otter have been spotted on our guided hikes. Experienced and knowledgeable local guides will also enlighten visiting walkers on the ecology, history and folklore of this wild and remote part of West Tyrone.

Walk: CHALLENGING ‘THE INTERNATIONAL REACH OF A KILLETER CAMINO

Exploring the international heritage links to pilgrimage and its origin tying into the IAT and the Camino de Santiago

Distance: 12km

Duration: 6 - 7 hours ( Break for lunch, please bring your own packed lunch and at least 1 litre of water)

Ability: Challenging/ Hillside, Bog, Track

Suitable for participants with a high level of fitness who hike on a regular basis.
Minimum age for children is 14 and must be accompanied by an adult.

Meeting Point: Killeter Community Hall

Start Time: 9am

Please arrive at registration point no later than 8.30am to begin the walk.Transport will be provided from meeting point to and from walk start/end.

Participant Consent/Medical Forms to be completed on the day.

Hiking boots are essential wear and waterproof clothing is highly recommended. Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission if not fully equiped for the terrain and conditions.
